We did it!
Giuseppe has won his battle, achieving what was merely his right.
Thanks to the perseverance of his parents and the big hearts of the many who signed the petition. Giuseppe is assisted 24/7 by qualified personnel.
Giuseppe is a 6-year-old boy who has been hospitalized at the OPBG Neurorehabilitation ward in Palidoro since October 30, 2014, due to secondary outcomes from a craniospinal trauma (C2-C3) from a road accident that occurred on 08/19/2014.
Giuseppe is tetraplegic, suffers from Chronic Respiratory Insufficiency, and is connected to a Mechanical Ventilator 24 hours a day via tracheostomy, has a ventriculoperitoneal shunt for post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus, has a neurogenic bladder for which he performs intermittent catheterization 3 times a day, and has dysphagia due to compromised oral skills, requiring feeding through a gastric stoma.
