Ce.R.S. aps
Volunteer Association Centro Ricerche Studi, freely established in 1990 by a group of social and healthcare workers and recognized as an ONLUS in December 2005.

How Ce.R.S. Was Born
Our association, initially established as a purely volunteer organization, was born from the strong will of a cohesive group of skilled social and healthcare workers to organize and offer, completely free of charge, concrete assistance to Disabled Children and their Families.
An ambitious mission that took shape as early as 1990 following numerous meetings among our members, during which, by sharing their experiences, the enormous critical issues related to the shortcomings of the national social-healthcare system on the delicate topic of Home Care for children with severe disabilities became apparent.
The focus of our founding members immediately fell on Children with chronic illness and high-intensity care needs, as the complex and multifaceted issues they face can only be managed through highly specialized care skills. However, the lack of adequate local services, which too often do not meet the actual needs of patients and families, forces these children to endure long hospital stays with their parents, while at home, the primary caregiving burden falls on the family. These conditions exacerbate difficulties and challenges, often leading to the breakdown of family structures, causing parents to lose the peace of mind necessary during the most critical periods of their children's illnesses.
The Ce.R.S. APS was thus born from the desire to make a substantial and decisive contribution to supporting such socially significant cases and, at the same time, to drastically reduce the "phenomenon" of home care deficiencies. Deficiencies that unfortunately continue to seriously undermine the dignity and quality of life of entire families, creating what we identify as our Third World, which is often just steps away from our welcoming homes and which we often fail to notice despite being widespread across the national territory.
Our Third World
It might seem like an exaggerated and sensational definition, but upon closer inspection, it is not..
In Italy, many families live with severely ill children requiring high-intensity care, forced to face enormous difficulties every day without being able to rely on concrete practical and moral support, which translates into a sort of state of neglect that further aggravates the already precarious living conditions of the entire family unit. These are the Realities that constitute our Third World and it is precisely for Them that we act with the utmost dedication, as these are families that too often are not listened to and supported enough by the institutions.
A lack of attention that in most cases "traps" Children and parents in an unjust dimension of anonymity and indifference, even towards a society that is poorly informed about it, consequently forcing families to endure even the shame of solitude in facing problems that are often unimaginable.
What We Do
At the Centro Ricerche Studi, in addition to working diligently to encourage institutions to pay more attention to issues related to disability in childhood, we exclusively pursue social solidarity goals by implementing projects aimed at significantly improving the average quality of home care services for disabled children, across the entire national territory. In addition, in support of these socially beneficial interventions, through Ce.R.S. we aim to:
- Improve and expand the knowledge of the health and social issues specific to disabled children through our dissemination sources, thus contributing to the formation of a more aware and attentive society over time.
- Promote qualified updates to contribute to the training of increasingly specific professional figures capable of managing highly complex home care.
- Ensure the maintenance and, where possible, the recovery of the physical and mental health of our young patients at Their Home, away from hospitals. Because Our Children are little Angels with broken wings and we do not want to deprive them of the direct contact with the warmth and affection of home.
Objectives
Our mission may seem too ambitious to you, but we can assure you that it is entirely achievable... however, to ensure the continuity of our projects, it is crucial to also receive Your Support, based on the premise that often the sum of many small numbers results in large numbers.
Thanks to Your constant support over time, we can plan our interventions and help more Angels in need. Help Us Help with the Adopt An Angel projectMediaKit

Our Angels

Our young patients are Angels in distress who no longer have wings and cannot fly. They are children with severe disabilities due to rare, chronic, and degenerative diseases that force them to endure enormous suffering from birth. Their lives are thus filled with complex and multifaceted issues that leave no room for the serenity that every Child should have guaranteed.
Certainly, despite our constant and loving commitment, we are not able to give them new wings, no one is. But thanks to YOUR HELP we can certainly restore their smile, dignity, care, and the peace they need.
